Far be it from me to defend Britney Spears and her chicken-fried husband, but yes, it IS OK to get pregnant 4-5 months after a c-section. At least according to every single doctor I spoke to. So shut up, okay?
edit: this is in no way directed at anyone in particular...i've just happened to hear that comment a lot today and because I'm irrational irritated pregnant lady, it struck a nerve.

Well, I sure hope so...we're going to start trying in June.
I agree - my OB said it was perfectly fine to start trying almost right away (even though we opted to wait three months).
But is it still okay if I hate Britney just the same?

I think getting pregnant after the doctor says it's okay is great- I also think that Brittney Spears getting pregnant with what's his name is just wrong.
Sorry if my Britney post contributed to your irritated state! It is fair to say that different OBs have differing opinions on this (my former high risk OB said 4-5 months after my vaginal delivery, and told my friend to wait 6+ after her c-section).
Lots of folks in the medical profession still advocate for there being 2 years in between children, for developmental reasons. Not saying I agree with this, just pointing it out.
I really didn't mean to start anything controversial or hurtful, I was mainly hating on Britney and how unfit she seems as a parent!
Just one more thing about the whole Britney fiasco, then I'll shut up. Access Hollywood reports that Britney is 5 months pg, and that Sean is about 7 months old. Hmm...
Well, whatever she would have wanted, that's what her doctor would have told her. Even if nine doctors disagreed, the tenth would have told her it's okay. I mean, can you see that scumbag husband of hers use a condom? (Wait - don't try.)
Like I've always said - any dumb animal can breed. She'll probably end up having three kids in two and a half years. Poor Britney - she'll never wear a bikini again...
